Micro Machines Submarine. It could launch torpedos and ICBMs.
There was also a Chinook and a C130. I vividly remember owning the former, but only sort of recall the latter. Neither was as amazing as the submarine.
Then there was this, which was so rad.
I have vivid memories of finding it on clearance at K Mart, begging my mom to buy it for me, then going home and playing with it while watching Live and Let Die on TBS during one of their Bond marathons.
My life peaked at a very young age.

I had the C-130!

I’m pretty sure I had the C-130, but it was the gas can that was my jam. Can’t believe how long that thing kept me entertained. The oil can was good too, though the elevator knob was finicky.

Do you remember if the props did anything besides spin? I feel like they did something.

That’s amazing. I didn’t know it even existed. The style kind of reminds me of the little square sets you could link together like a puzzle.

Holy cow I just got clubbed on the head with nostalgia. I had one of those!

They only spun. But I do remember the ramp, nose, and a section of the forward fuselage on the left side opening up. Think there was another part that opened. Also don’t remember if the ramp was able to get both the lower and upper decks.

I have the Chinook and C130, always wanted that sub as a kid!

I have that one! Endless fun, I took it just about everywhere for awhile.

I had some of the tiny ones. I remember I had to stop playing with them on the ground as our cat used to knock them all around.

I had the aircraft carrier!

Yes! I remember both of those. I completely forgot about the one with the exploding fuel tank.

I still have my Micro Machines Gas Can, Oil Can, Battery, and tool box.
Endless hours ... endless.

That’s so awesome. I remember pining over that.

Me too. Just came in to post this.

I never had any of those, but I still have the gas can, oil can, battery, and tool box.
My best friend had the C130 and the aircraft carrier, so I got to play with those too.

Nice! I have the tool box town and at least one oil can, maybe two. So much MM insanity back then.

Did the Schwimmwagen come with the sub? That’s a cool one all by itself!

Me too! They are in a box at my mom’s house. I was cleaning up over there one day and when I found that box.... definitely lost half an hour to nostalgia.

Actually I have two oil cans. I have one from childhood, and another my wife bought me at an antique shop (I just said thank you and never mentioned that I already had it).

I definitely had the Schwimmwagen, but it looks like the sub only came with the signal officers and a plane.

Easy to do!

I had that submarine. As a kid I never questioned why a sub would have a runway and vehicles driving in the control room :P

You kind of just have to go with it. Thinking too hard about the rationale behind a Micro Machines playset is a sure way to go insane.

I had that too! It was awesome!

I had a ton of micro machines but I didn’t have one of those, I had the aircraft carrier now that I see the one below.

Oh I did have that one!
